CRUISN's Gen2 JDM style surf wagon

Postby cruisn » Tue Nov 22, 2011 3:08 pm

As the GT is back to relatively stock and passed to the wife, theres no way Im driving the Barina Spark again as a daily.

I needed a car for work and surf duties that I wasnt going to be too fussy about and not adverse to driving on a few dirt roads down the coast.

I found a neat Gen2 Outback Limited that was owned by an old couple and had full Subaru service up to 6,000kms before I bought it and is incredibly clean.

7 days after buying it the headgasket went, but the previous owners offered to pay half the repair costs. I opted for a rebuilt, lower kay engine which i should have in my possession approx two weeks.

A few minor plans in progress to make it a little nicer.

When bought......

More to come......

Because I get bored quickly with cars. :D

I have a picture in my mind of what i want it to look like as soon as I buy a car. Once I get it there I lose interest and want something else to play with.

I DO intend keeping this for at least 2 years as its more functional for my purposes.

Id already bought rims for the Outback before I actually bought the car.

Cheers Justin.

Its being modded as it sits out front of my house.

By the time I fit the engine I'll have almost finshed my planned mods.

I'll still bring the Gen4 on the cruise's. A Gen2 will look out of place.

Looks pretty tidy for its age. Full service history is a bonus!

I don't want to start an E-gunfght or anything, but why lower an Outback when you plan to go offroad and I assume (surf duties) on beaches and sandy areas? Wouldn't the money be better spent on some nice meaty Coopers tires (great warranties, great tyres for this work)
Built not bought, it's a way of life.
