You can run the needle below the empty line if you want.

I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Thanks to Edy80y for a great reference. Made ordering stuff much easier!

Purchased a wiring harness kit with mute box from the UK. MUSIC-SOT-7463-AM-u is the model number for the harness. Edy80y has a Parrot mki9200 and i can confirm that it also works for the mki9100.

Took me a little while to figure out all the wires, but the harness that actually comes with the parrot kit you don't use at all.

The harness with mute box needs to connect into the amp under the front seat. From there the original plug piggy backs into the harness. All cabling was ran under the carpet and the mute box is actually on the side of the hump of the center console.
The 2.5 meter extension cable goes from the harness to the parrot module. I mounted the parrot module behind the gps screen.
The little screen for caller Id and other display info is mounted on the right hand side above the mirror control.
The microphone i ran up the pillar and across the front and mounted it just above the mirror.
Anyway, time progressed so less photo's were taken.

The screen looks like it's sitting weird? It's on a pivot mount which i might remove later to make it flush, but it angles the screen up nicely so i can look at it if i need to.

Forgot to mention, i still haven't mounted the remote yet as i'm trying to find the best place for it.
The USB, 3.5mm and ipod plug is routed to the center console.
The aux cable from the harness which plugs into the Mcintosh aux port is beneath the center console out of the way since there's no need for it to be visible. Will post some pics later.

Here's another "not for everyone" mod.

So i now have puddle lights installed. They turn on when the car unlocks, and fade out when the dome light goes off.

I say it's not for everyone, as these lights are 1.5m long on each side. Apart from the fact the car is ultra dirty, here's an example of what it looks like in the mid evening.

I like it :good:

But would look a lot better when the car is clean.
