Intriguing, wouldn't your maf pipe run an internal air guide for the maf?

Cool.

I just got my hands on a GRB JDM 207. It's thick liner, super big port heads. Haven't pulled down yet. I've read and read and read and read.

A few years on now since getting your motor, do we have any more concrete information on what the difference are between yours and the non Spec C are ? Aside of better matched internals etc ?

Also - that dyno chart is interesting - you may have covered off somewhere in the thread but what's with the AFRs rising with RPM ? Was that on your old fuel setup with ID1000s ?

Yes refer to nasioc ej207 info thread which I have tried to provide Vlad with all the info I have / know with respect to spec c / non spec c grb 207

In terms of that dyno sheet - I would completely disregard it to be honest.

Had nothing to do with the injectors, as this motor has alway run the id2000's and e85.

Okay cool man.

So I just got my hands on a GRB ej207. It's going away in storage for a short period whilst I focus on the ever expanding family.

However, I am interested to know about how the cams/bigger head ports will like making power up top... when does power start to drop off ?

You will run out of stock cams at 7200-7500rpm depending on exhaust back pressure

FrankenStien will be advertised for sale in the next few days

Open to EOI pending the ad going up. Throw me your offers I won't be offended.

Its been fun but time to go

Would've loved to have sorted the spool up issue with cold headers and get the full potential down the quarter but those who have witnessed or been in it can attest to the way it screams once launched off the line with 14-21psi.

I was also looking at going to twin scroll turbo setup which I can happily talk any prospective purchaser through which should make the same power but give better transient response and brake boosting will be a lot easier.

GLWS! End of another era!!!
I want this like I wanted Owens and Ian's rigs et al. Badly!
Your contribution has been huge, like a select few who have also recently moved on.
Leaving us to stand on the shoulders of giants. :good:
Well budget permitting...
