Update time:
I fitted the PW surge tank and the new regulator, deleting the stock FPR and fuel dampers. Physically fitting the tank was not too hard, it fits quite well. Plumbing it up was slightly more difficult, just required a lot of speed flow and thinking to get it all working.
Put it on the dyno at Coyote Tuning to set the fuel pressure and make sure it was okay. Ran into problems with intercooler piping coming off every time it came onto boost. With that fixed a breakdown was evident at about 6000 rpm. At this point in time I figured it was old plugs.
I replaced the plugs with lfra7x's (or some shit) gapped to 0.6mm. Back on the dyno and it all fell over at 6200rpm, lost spark. We hooked a multi meter up to the alternator and found that it was dropping down to 9.8v. I removed the fuse from one of the new pumps and it only dropped down to 11.5v, with a slight ignition break down. We figured there was too much draw from the pumps, and called it a day.
I did a little research today and will be pulling the blue wire out of the alternator, and clearing the fault code. According to Turboyoda the ecu shuts off the alternator at WOT, and tries to run the show on battery voltage. Thanks everyone for the input on FB the other night too.
Hopefully I can update with more information in the coming days.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.
