I feel I can share my kido racing experience now that's it's sorted.

4 months ago I contacted Bryce regarding my coilovers getting increasingly noisy and squeaky. A couple of emails exchanged and a sound clip sent and Bryce agreed to replace the front shocks.

Over the next 3 and a half months I sent Bryce at least 8 emails consisting of pm's here ( which were read and ignored) and direct emails, to try find out what was going on with my replacement shocks. I only received 2 emails back in the first month stating they should arrive in 2 weeks. Then followed months of no reply which is unacceptable for a business predominately run on the internet over forums.

I finally sourced Bryces mobile number and contacted him. To the response ' I'll have to chase that up' and that was the extent of the conversation.

The shocks finally arrived this week. I emailed Bryce again to let him know and inform him I would be sending the bill for refitting the shocks as all the top hats and springs had to be changed over to the new dampeners. Funnily enough I received a reply within hours stating the would not be paying for anyone else to fit them. I could send them back to Melbourne with my original struts and they would fit them. Fat chance.

Kido racing customer service is non existent and I will not be recommending anybody to waste their time with their products. Deal directly with Matt if your after a tune.

Rant over.

Being on call for work this week allowed my car to be in the garage all week so I set about replacing the struts myself today.

I was abit hesitant but I figured it's only bolts. What could go wrong.

Turns out nothing. All done and dusted with in 4 hours.

I also fitted my muteki Sr48 lug nuts as well.

Nice.

You need to paint the rotor edge and ring around the hat so you dont get that rusty look.

Good job for giving it a red hot go. :good:

Just looking at your locking collars, are you at the bottom of your adjustment now? Do you know the measurement from the centre of the rim to the wheel arch?

I need to get around to doing that on my car^^

Looks great Hoff, the new tail lights look fantastic.
Sorry to hear about your experience with the coilovers. It will be interesting to see if they reply, being run on a forum I imagine they will want to solve the issue ASAP now that you've made your point clear.

There is maybe a couple of mm left between the collars but not much.

Ground to top of the arch is 64cm all around.

Centre of wheel to arch is 34cm.

Cheers Kody.

I doubt he will reply to anything else. I've had enough of it. I won't be dealing with him again.

Shame to read about the poor customer service with the coilovers but glad it finally got sorted and that you were prepared to put them in yourself :)

It was good. I feel better having done it myself.

I started to regret it at one point. I had one stubborn bolt that wouldn't slide out. But got there in the end with a slightly cut and bruised thumb haha.

Hoff, looking the good there. Love those nuts!! :D

Shame about the customer service or lack there of. I actually find that there is a massive lack of customer service in all aspects of life.

I run my own business from home and believe that if you don't have great CS then people will simply not come back..... Sorta need that in a business

Exactly. I would rather pay a little bit more and know I'll be looked after in the future. But unfortunately most people are just salesman, not business men.
