So after speaking to the AM Auto boys I don't think I'll be going manual any time soon. For the cost for the conversion I could buy a 3.0 spec B. Something I will think about in the future when there is some more room in the budget.

Spec B bar arrived :)

What exactly is involved according to them? Ecu issues?

And what are the costs?

Auto - Manual costs:

Donor Car/Parts $8k
Custom Cross Member $2k
Labor $2k

Even after $12k your only left with a stock 3.0 H6 speed manual

There was a h6 manual with a blown head gasket going for 3-4k a while back - also, Ian has a h6 manual and is making stupid power.

Yas, but don't forget the cost of a proper clutch too. And add in a torsen front diff, as it's a bit pointless without it.

Weird that they want 2k for the cross member, they made it look quite easy in the vid.

Agree with Matt, donor car bits shouldn't cost 8k, even from a wrecker. Unless we're talking about many more parts than is normally required for a gearbox swap (ecu, dash, wiring loom etc?)

What about the ECU/TCU/dash inputs?

Everything Auto related needs to be stripped. Agreed they made it look easy in that video

How amazing are they! The crazy aggressive spool. The scream to redline. Not to mention they will survive a nuke. Are you running an EWG with them?

Hmmm the spool and sound is excellent!
My collector has a small leak though.

I don't like the Vband on the version 1s either.

Please add a thin exhaust gasket between the 'rings'

Update 18/2/16:

New trans, diffs and shafts are in. Car runs fine. Waiting on a "speed input sensor" as the trans didn't come with one. Should show up on Monday. Fingers crossed its plug and play, away we go. Next on the list...

-Flip fmic core and custom fab new piping to suit spec b bar
-Black out headlights
-Test fit, prep, paint and install new bar
