Numberplate spacer/lift kit

Postby cruisn » Thu Aug 18, 2011 4:50 pm

Ive made the number plate spacer/lift kit. Its raised 50mm from standard and sits out of the lower air dam now.

Made from black nylon and machined to clear the ridge above the number plate stock location. It sits 10mm further out from the original mounting points. Countersunk lower mounting holes and new drilled and tapped number plate mounting holes.

If people are keen, I can make some more. It will come with stainless steel allen key bolts and is a direct swap. Price will be $25 posted.

I will have to confirm the mounting height required for different model bars just to be sure theyre the same.

Really nice work, any chance we can have a look at the part itself? Don't stress if it means removing your plate

Am I reading this wrong? You have to drill new holes in the number plate?

Measurements would be appreciated Rob. From centre of the numberplate mounting hole in the bumper to the ridge above and if you ould check if 50mm lift is right to clear your lower air dam.

After i make them I'll get back to you with details.

Cheers

Will get a pic of it in detail tomorrow for all to see. I made mine in white nylon, but it gets dirty. Black is better IMO.

Pics as requested. It moves the numberplate 10mm out from the bar and doesnt look out of place.

Cheers.

The aim is to modify for a better result without cutting or drilling anything that doesnt need to be. ;)
