Simon - 3.0L doesnt need the lift kit if you change to slimeline front plate........ :wink:

you just gave me a whole new meaning to life :D im planning on it, just waiting for funds and a day to drive all the way back to nsw to pick the plates up, and drive back again.

Surely you can nominate someone to pick up the plates for you.....
You can do that in VIC

Why not just re-register in Vic? Or your not staying?

NSW yellow plates are ghey anyway. :lol:

well im not sure if ill be down here for a while, or back in nsw.
i could end up anywhere in the country, but my most likely bet will be back in nsw

and i hate the yellow plates... i want to get rid of mine ASAP!

Actually, I have slim line plates, well the 2004 version anyway, and the lift kit is needed. Maybe just not as much as regular plates.

I think Marks comment is in relation to the different design of the 3RB bar, because the part where the number plate is attached is thicker, the overhang of the plate pictured in the OP doesn't have to be corrected to look neater. That's not to say that you couldn't do it anyway if it's not centered (?)

I was wanting to do something like this and after having a look through my old mans garage, I found a strip of aluminium laying about so i made these:

If you need measurements, I'll let you know when I have the car (later this week) and the plates (some time after I catch up from paying for stamp duty on the rego transfer :angry2: )
