Me & My Lib - seanmau5

Postby seanmau5 » Thu Aug 11, 2011 1:30 am

So back in February (2011) I decided it was time to stop travelling and time to invest in some wheels. I was all over the shop - had no idea what I wanted (Liberty was at the top of the list but always thought they were out of my price range, closely followed by a VZ Calais)

I came across this little beauty for 2k less then what the majority of Libertys were going for so bit the bullet and bought it!! Only had 86k on the clock too..

Coming along nicely. Well done.

Might be too late, but for future maybe look into Stinger Roadkill over the Dynamat. The Stinger Roadkill is recommended by Phatt Audio Concepts in Melbourne as it is thicker and heavier per square metre compared to Dynamat. I think it comes out to about 1 sheet of Roadkill is equal to about 1.6-1.7 sheets of Dynamat.

I'll look into this Stinger gear, I've only done the passenger door so far, drivers door tomorrow.. The Dynamat was from a work colleague & cost me nothing, he just so happened to 'come across some' lol
I can purchase the Stinger for rear doors maybe. Cheers Michael

So on Sunday I visited Nick and picked up some as new billies paired with STI pink springs
Image
bit of brand whoring there 8)

My pink bits will be making way for some new springs.. Most likely King Springs or Pedders low suspension or something

Nah, ordering some S-Techs from PHAT, along with LCA bushes and a Saturday with my uncle should have it all installed and looking good :) Pictures to come in a few weeks!!

Picked them up from another forum member in Melbourne. Nearly half the price, you can get brand new from Claremont Wheelpower here in Sydney for about $600 inc centre caps

No. They have $1000 packages posted on eBay actually
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewi ... 8034080457

Obviously they are entry level tyres but nonetheless not a bad price. I think they also have KU31s as a package for $1250. Also not bad.

o0o. What gear are you looking at getting?

If you are interested, I still have my Type R 12" sitting in my room.

Well I'm not entirely sure. Will probably send an email to Marty & ask for suggestions from him then test some gear out.. I'll prob look at spending about 2k??
