Haven't checked the comp yet, but thinking the smoke was coming from residual blow by sitting in the TMIC. Will do a clean with UEC and check it again before a leak down test.

Definitely looking for an IWG setup so I don't have to chop and weld my phat dump pipe. Too sexy to drill!

Stu

Check that there is no oil pooling in the catch can hoses, it could be leaking back into the casing and burning.

The routing of the hoses and height of the catch can plays are big part in an effective air/oil separator set up
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

Where did you get this gear knob with the STI logo? It's not stock on MY08 tbSTIs is it?
PS. Steering wheel looks great! Wish I had the STI logo on the dash too (not included on MY07s)

Hey David, it's the stock gear knob for the 2008 tb STI.
I thought the only difference between an 07 and 08 STI were the grill and the color of the brembos

The 08 Sti's had a lot of minor cosmetic changes to the 07.

Things like special sti side sills, alcantara in the seats and doors, sti on the dash cluster etc.
