Had the brakes and camber kit done today with camber adjustment and 4 wheel alignment (by Pedders in Sth Melb)

Standard calipers (unique rustique look)
DBA Slotted Street Rotors all corners
Dixcel Type M Pads (from PhatGT)
Whiteline rear camber kit

Photo of the new style Slotted Street Series (unidirectional - fits either side so you do not have to order LHS and RHS anymore)

 I badly need a volunteer to rejuvenate the calipers? Would like a gloss black. Send me your quotes please!

Mark, your calipers make me cry. :(

I'll redo them, but not on the car......

Yep, I will probably need to jack her up for a few days rest to do them. The first rest she has had since having the heads done!

ahh, very nice! thats a quick car!

have you found the ECUdatascan usefull?

i have thought a little about getting one, for data logging and finding/clearing fault codes incase something goes wrong with the ecu, and improve 0-100 times ;)

Well, it helped me diagnose a dirty cam sensor once. I had a different note coming from the exhaust and found that the cam angle on the left and right banks were not in sync. Took it Subaru and they cleaned the cam angle sensors and all good since. I also used it a lot when I was trying to diagnose my overheating issue, monitoring intake temps, water temps, timing, injector cycles, etc, but in the end it was just a popped head gasket. Used mostly at the moment as a GPS and occasionally for monitoring (when I get sick of the stupid directions it gives sometimes). I like it and for me it is quite useful.

Well, I took Cruisn (Mark) up on his offer to re-finish the calipers. Great job and great finish. And I felt guilty about the price he charged. It was way too low for the time and effort he put in. Also got some stickers to apply, in gloss silver and they came out just fine from my perspective (and that's all that matters really!)

I do be lovin the finish of my calipers now! And cudos to Cruisn for the results.

The green valve caps indicate nitrogen fill. Provided by Bridgestone with the new tyres recently. Does not catch the eye under normal circumstances, only in close up photos. Probably leave them on.

The Auto Transmission:

Talked to David at Kewish Automotive today. He did my valve body upgrade through HPF not long after I did the sc kit install. Turns out he remembers my vehicle and the issues after the VB mod. Well he is going to get the opportunity to set it up properly for me, without HPF as a middle man. Will be talking to him again at end of April with a view to undergoing a full rebuild and tune in May. Will be focussed on daily driving, not track or drag.
