Had the Dump Pipe installed today. The drive home was quite fun! Although the ECU has not fully adjusted to the dump pipe I noticed a difference immediately. Throttle response is so much better and the car really pulls now, not just in lower revs but also up high! Thanks Phat for taking the time to make this and install it for me, best guy to deal with! Also had the APEXI pod kit installed. This definitely does increase the induction noise and you can hear the cars blow off noise when you let go of the throttle. It isn't overbearing though, so I'm quite happy. With music up at a normal level and cruising along you don't really notice it. Once you put your foot down though, you can hear the turbo spool and hear the inrush of wind! PHAT is apparently making a custom air box so will be picking one of these up once he's done! See pics below:

Will the dump pipe work aswell with the standard exhaust? How much was the pod kit if you don't mind me asking?
Looks great!

Sure will, my exhaust system is stock except for the dump pipe. If you're after performance gains, definitely get the dump pipe is freaking amazing! Little sound gains though so if you're wanting a louder exhaust you'd probably need to do more than just the dump pipe.

And pod kit was around $250-300 but email PHAT if you're interested :)

Hey mate, i'm a manual.
I want to keep the exhaust stock, i don't want a loud exhaust. So if i could get significant gains with the dump pipe only then a tune dowwn the track i'd be laughing.

Seriously you owe yourself a trip up to Sydney to visit phat, the dump pipe is exactly what you need! I'm just like you I don't really like a loud exhaust and the dump pipe doesn't add any noticeable noise, but you will notice the increase in performance immediately!

Cutting out extra holes in the drivers side honey comb fog light surrounds of the post facelift Spec.B's to allow more air to reach the hole where the resonator is, or your custom CAI for it.

Ahh, fair enough. Thanks for that. Thought it was something to do with the actual fog light, not the fog light surround.

Yeh if you take a look at the fog light honeycomb surrounds, half of the holes are full holes you can poke your finger through, half are blocked off. Opening up the other half of holes increasing air flow through this to your resonator/airflow etc.

On a side note does anyone know if it's a good/bad idea to have my STI ENKEI rims repaired?

Is there a way to fix up the gutter rash from the previous owner?
