kennysti wrote:I'll take some pics tonight and post them it came up really well! not visible at all from the top and underneath you can see a nice thick weld joining the crack. Mine was literally in half when I bought the car and now you cant tell at all. I only paid about $50 to get my mate who does plastic and fiberglass truck panels to fix it but I don't imagine it will be very much to have fixed, he said it only took him at most a little over 2 hours.

Well for a good job I'd be keen to pay for it, would save me doing it myself or buying a new lip!

hey jerome! so sorry iv'e been delayed in getting the repaired splitter pics for you! I've had issues painting it coz of the massive ammounts of rain over weekends here in perth! all I can say is if you are considering it get it done now that it finally has paint over the joined section it's completely perfect as if it were new and its strong as well, plenty of flex in it and no cracking so far. Get a quote from a panel place and let me know what they quoted you.

Just waiting on a few extra things to be cleaned up in the engine bay and your wish shall be granted hamish :D

PS if you ever come to Sydney I need someone to do a good claybar/polish of my car...as much as I love cleaning it including using sealant etc. claybaring and polishing is just something I don't see myself getting into in the near future!
