Other then that (at the moment) my car is totally stock.

I am now noticing a spooling sound from about 2600rpm's till about 4000rpm.. is this normal? Is it the sound of the turbo spooling up?

Did anyone else get this sound?

Yeap, I think... I think it is the part between the actual filter and the metal pipe.. kinda directs air towards the AFM?

I think that piece between the filter and the pipe is the gasket. YOu're referring to the thin blue plastic piece right?

I'm quite sure the airguide is the bit that sits behind the front grille and acts as a deflector to direct the air toward the intake

LOL!! No problemo Jimmy, happy to help. I still love photography more then I love cars.... but I think that is slowly changing

you should have a spool sound whenever the car is given a bit of throttle .. so if you're backing off at 4k then yeah...

Yeap, that must be it as it fades after 4k. I kinda like it, wife hates it....

I asked Phat man, about those two questions... he said

1. I think it was to hold up the air guide (stock) to still direct air towards the filter.

2. The foam thing was to keep water out... he said no one sticks it on though, looks kinda goofy he said.. so I just left it out.
