Airguide Install

Postby CheesyMong » Sat Aug 25, 2007 5:20 pm

Hi guys

I having trouble getting the front grill off to install the airguide. I can get the clips off the side off the grill but there must be 2 down the bottom of the grill I can not see.

Do you just pull the grill straight up with force or do you pull it towards u with force to release it from the 2 clips at the bottom?

Cheers

Thanks Phat but I got it all sussed a quick search of the legacyGT forums gave me the answer. But I really appreciate the offer....

Trick was to squeeze my hand down the back of the grill and caress the clips sort of up and towards me and it popped right off.

Anyway I Installed the

HKS Panel filter
Airguide
Removed the resonator

Result = bit more induction noise, and slight swoosh changing gears not quite what I wanted so the resonator will more than likely go back on :(

Cheers

Tell you the truth I don't know, 1st turbo car I've owned. But the reso removal is a free mod and I thought I'd like to hear it with it off.

I put it back on today and am sorting of missing the swoosh noise between gears, and the induction noise is a little less now which is to be expected.

All in all there is pro/con for either way but hey only takes 5mins to remove/install so I might change back LOL

Cheers
