i'm thinking about getting either the cobb or kartboy short shift. quite a number of threads and walkthroughs on legacygt.com

I like the idea of retaining the stock shitfer using this mod.
Anyone know advantages/disadvantages over say the STI 6MT quick shifter?

but STI is a whole unit.

I have the GFB kit for the STi 6spd. It is adjustable for throw and it is much shorter than the stock spec B and noticably shorter than the STi short shift.
The down side is it's not designed for the Liberty and Sean (S&J) had to do alot of modification to make it fit. He said he won't do it again but the result is very good.

Yeah I know just trying to guage the difference to the STI version to just this addon to the stock shifter.

the guys at dealership quoted me something like $600 for sti shifter fully installed. what a rip.
