Liberty and GT35R - now 281 kw atw @ 20 psi

Two years ago I bought myself a 1991 GX Liberty AWD that had been converted. The turbo running the show was pretty much the very small VF10 @ 12 psi which is about 100 kw atw.

Last month the car had 245 kw atw, ran a slow 12.4 @ 114 (AVO450) but did a 118 mph which was a positive. However not really the numbers that 245 kw should've produced. So I pulled the engine down and found the heads were leaking like a sieve, the stock extractors were cracked and leaking in two places.

So I've sold the built EJ207 and bought a 2007 EJ257 from Subaru which I then had SJ Auto install CP pistons and also port and polish the Version 5 STI Type R heads. New GT Spec headers are to be installed along with a knocklink and hopefully some coilovers. The 2L was an awesome engine and ran 24 psi all day. However I would rather run 18 psi all day and make the same power :P
So the specs:

2007 EJ257 (CPs)
V5 STI heads (port and polished)
GT Spec Headers into custom twist mount
Microtech LT10S + hand control
TurboXS Wideband
Turbosmart Eboost
Walbro fuel pump
GT35R
750cc injectors + stock fuel rails + stock regulator
$200 FMIC from Jap Imports
$20 drift pod
DIY intercooler cooler pipes
DIY TBE 3"
40mm DMS Coilovers
STI 4 pot brakes
MY01 wheels
1-4 PPG helical syncro MY97 WRX gearbox
Extreme 6 puk clutch

Will do in the next week or so. A before and after shot of the GT35R should be nice.

Spent the weekend installing a 3" dump back system. Amazing what a TIG, a pit, beer and some old 3" stainless piping with 2 x 90' bends can do. All up it cost me $20, not too bad :)

Wastegate and resonator for exhaust arrive thursday :) :) :)

Also here is it doing a 12.01 second pass.... next week came back and did the 11.92. (Silver Liberty).
