i doubt it, as far as i now the twinscrolls only work properly with the EL headers. I was thinking about switching to single scroll setup to get the boxer rumble but there is too much work involved so went for the best twinscroll setup i could find, which is the vf36 imho. I can get 2 more if anyone is looking for one :)

Get standard one ported, they would be more than adequate for your vf37, i got a nice standard ported up pipe and headers for mine

small update on this, car has been in getting work done for the last week, came across problems with the spec c headers and uppipe don't bolt on, the up pipe/headers join is in a different position to the standard ones so there is clearance issues with them and they need to be modified. Also going to replace the centre cat section with a straight through section so its more free flowing. Hopefully to have the car back by end of next week. and then get it remapped. Driving a diesel Avensis until i get it back , oooh the torque steer!

yep, i wanted to keep the twinscroll setup as its great for road use. Mechanic said he could get the stock headers and up pipe to work with the vf36 but the Spec C headers are a lot bigger in comparison so better choice in using them instead.

mine wont be huge power figures since its still a factory turbo ill be using just a bigger one! at least after this ill be able to upgrade to any sti twinscroll turbo since ill have the new headers up pipe and downpipe to suit. Im sure ill get bored with the VF36 in a few months!

haven't updated here in a while, still not entirely finished mapping yet, knew i had a leak somewhere so i heard the turbo inlet pipe can be a weak spot so i ordered a replacement Perrin one. Could have gotten it in red or blue but i thought i would stick with the black one to keep it stealth.

old one with a bit of a tear in it:

Hopefully that was the thing messing up the airmass readings . Reset the ecu and will log a bit to see if it made a difference.

Very nice work with the Legacy mate.

Keen to see how it all goes with the VF36 and what it makes.

yep i doubt the pipe went like that in the 2 months the new turbo has been fitted, mechanic must have seen that when he was working on it an though it was ok to re-use. will check the logs later but it already feels like its fixed my problem. fingers crossed it has!
