Everyone in SA with XX number plates just wanted to copy me.

I had XX plates on my old Legacy wagon but sold them with the car

Had to pay another $200 for new ones

Now I'm thinking of going 6 digit historic number plates

Didn't realize it was the 'style' of plate dictating the xx - I thought it was a choice of letters

So weird how close they are. I ordered mine off the website maybe 12 months ago. So well after Hamish purchased his.
They used to be AA xxxx, then BB xxxx then CC xxxx. Now they are XX xxxx.


How much those historic plates go for Hamish? Couldn't images them being cheap.
I don't think I've seen the 6 digit ones. I've seen the 3 digit ones on a plain black plate. 1-999.

They are actually now onto DD xxxx the XX plates are just a different colour scheme. Anyway, the historics arn't cheap but I want!

Yeah, AA, BB, and CC (and now DD) are black text on white (my old Lib had BB's, they came with it) - XX are the white text on black

Once you go black, you never go back....

I didn't get em coz everyone else has them I got them coz they are black and fit my theme!
Historic plates will def look good hamish
Urs will stand out from everyone else's then!

Not much luck getting some historic plates but the plans for the car now are:

- Spray brembos Orange with black decal
- wrx rear calipers same colour
- Stanza scoop
- Black badges
- new front lip as mine smashed off. Preferably not OTR but they are out of stock
- Possibly blacked out headlights

Orange will look sweet !

Although I've seen this car around for years I've not seen the build thread until now - impressive stuff!

Blacked out headlights and badges will be very sinister.
