Red calipers look great Hamish on the black wheels. I'm thinking of painting my calipers if I have some spare time over Summer, probably going to go gloss black.

Thanks Jim,

I did my hub and calipers with Killrust tin, Really thin and a little watered down (with turps obviously) on the hubs
Lasted until i sold my old car 3 years later and was still in good condition, have done it on every car since, so much easier and less hassle then spraying them! Just sanded the caliper's a little bit to make the surface smoother and two coats makes it very durable. Looks good in person as it's a brembo looking red that i tinted darker up from Killrusts 'delicious red' as that colour is way to fire engine red.

Can't wait till the lip arrives!

Ps. Anyone in SA want to swap boots? Free spoiler if so...

Hey Hamish post more info about your secret paint formula ;). Is that stuff reliable at high temps or am I looking at the wrong thing. Google search showed Wattyl product.

my 2nd job is at a hardware store so I just got a 'delicious red' tin and added black tint to the paint which deepens the colour and then a bit of magenta to bring a bit of richness without making it an ugly warm red/brown. it's just the Wattyl metal protection. Well heat wise, like i said had it on a car for 2-3 years and did fine and that was taking some serious punishments inc locking up the brakes in my FWD and some seriously regretful and stupid driving when i first got my license. :? It doesn't say its hi temp paint but, I'm sure Mark can tell you how his Legacy GT's brakes with the paint are holding up from the last track day...

Thanks Mark, such a wise teacher. :D

Nice pics!

You should really think about lowering it. Because with awesome wheels and painted calipers to draw attention to the wheel area, the large fender gap really stands out. :D

Ahh, ok. As long it's on the 'To Do' list. Don't get me wrong, the car looks fantastic! It's just that when I see cars on the road and they are running 19's and 20's and still have a stock suspension and enough fender gap to fit a watermelon, it just looks funny. Nothing wrong with it as obviously some people like that look. But it doesn't look proportionate.
