Anson is at 240Kw@hubs so roughly 220Kw@wheels on 5.6psi, so I am assuming it was around 4.8V on the MAF which is higher airflow than Anson's car

The 420 is part of the 300g/sec engine load hack :) The H6 ECU cannot read over 300g/sec which would normally flatline at 300, it can now read to 600 if required! The injectors however would only flow to 450g/sec

I asked a knowledgeable gentleman about why it was reading so much air, he said the sensor might be set up differently, affecting what it's reading/how it's reading.

Quick car, it's not 170kw that's for sure.

Brian, haha oh boy I talked myself into trouble here. I wouldn't say it's lacking - just different to what I'm used to with a turbo making 15-24 psi. The power curve is a different shape, with a turbo you sort of wait for it to spool while you're building power then enjoy the fully spooled top end. This supercharged beast as Mark said, gives you the whole boost throughout the acceleration.

In other words I'm used to the power coming in at a different time, hence expected more top end because it pulled so hard earlier. Hope that makes sense? Correct me Mark if I didn't explain that right.

I don't see how it could be any faster considering it's only running 5-9psi boost on petrol 98. The liberty already feels and sounds like a porsche.

Matt - I'd say 210atw wouldn't be too far off the mark. Would pull 220 on some Sydney dynos :) How did you setup this hack numbers wise? Can we convert the 420 into the exact number?

The MAF housing is similar size to stock... so basically if you used a 09 WRX MAF scaling and took the g/sec value at 4.8V then that would be a much closer value... roughly 380g/sec which considering compressor flow chart is about right. It was well over 300g/sec before the WTA setup went on with low boost. Tune has also been tweaked since it was last on the dyno too :)

Turbo I am doing on a 3.6L hits just shy of 645g/sec and it is scaled perfectly ;) Gio's Supercharged 3.6L is also putting down some serious power as well

Whoa lads.... I obviously signed off too early last night!

Not sure what all the conjecture is about, but numbers mean nothing anymore, merely a curiosity. The car is close to where I want it, maybe just a minor tweak here and there. And mind you, this vehicle has done over 300,000 kms now so I expect to be doing a bit more maintenance than usual in the near future.

Some of the 3.6 cars would be good to have a drive in. Any of them autos?

It sounds like a lot of boost on the stock pulley. I think Tim was saying it should be around 7psi or something?
Does that mean the rev limiter is lifted higher or is there something else happening? What's the rev limit set to Mark?

Either way, it's been a long journey for power, and i'm glad that you may finally be there.

Time to enjoy the ride and that supercharger noise. :)

They only come as automatic Mark - pick the nearest one and drive it :)

The MAF scaling is set a bit high Mark to account for the age of motor as it gave more tuning resolution on boost. As we discussed, the Mufflers are great for the noise levels you like but they are why air pressure at the manifold rises... the engine is a little constipated in the rear end

Also a point of interest: Ansons car is still on stock exhaust for its power output

I don't get these points. I had a completely new fabricated 2.5 inch front Y section made to mate with the Raptor Headers, the 2 x 2.5-inch sections combine into a single centre section of 3-inch and then redivide at the Rear Y section to 2 x 2.5-inch and custom built 2.5-inch straight thru glass packed rear mufflers.

Can someone advise how any of that makes for a restricted exhaust on a 3.0 litre engine??? If anything, I would think that I have over sized the centre and the rear Y and rear mufflers. Possibly the whole exhaust is too large for the volume and flow for a 3.0 litre, even at 7200 rpm.

I would think, if the manifold pressure is too high as measured, that we should look at what is actually contributing to that statement in order to isolate the likely contributors rather than a subjective statement about a restrictive exhaust. Sorry, but your not making sense.

And please send me an email or a PM before trying to respond here, so I can eat humble pie if I am being ignorant...

mark it might be worth putting a pressure gauge in the exhaust and see if it is restricting power, danny did mine on the dyno so it would graph on the computer, it showed that when it went on boost it would go up as boost pressure went up, it ended up being my cat that was holding back power

Does that mean you had a constipated cat?
