Soo I was driving along minding my own business on the freeway, and the car in front of me drove over a sheet of plywood maybe a few feet square. The vortex generated by that car lifted into the air to the perfect heigh to smash my bumper, spear into my radiator and condenser, and scratch my lip and quarter panel.

Shot back - you can see the wood off to the side of the road there, where it got pushed by me after ruining the front of my car.

Looks like a good bit of damage - Hopefully upgrade to a mishimoto radiator while I'm at it, and should be perfect on return. In the meantime I have a mondeo rental, and it's awful comparatively, but I have a new appreciation for how fast and awesome my car is for the money!

Watch this space for repairs (if it's not perfect, it'll get sent back) and some exciting JDM/STi/custom goodies in the future.

yeah rang AAMI after I rang my mother in law to come and pick up my 3yo who was also in the car - and then my wife who I was going to pick up.

0 problems so far - had the car towed, got me a taxi and a hire car. It hasn't been assessed yet though.
