That's interesting - more detail on the dash supplier/winder?

They do it properly. They asked straight away if I had proper permission and paperwork to get the kms changed. As I was winding them forwards it was a fairly simple process. I'll have a gander at the company name again and report back

Had some spare time and finally got around to rewiring a few things that had been in the back of my mind. I rewired the speakers a much neater way with better quality wire came up good. Also rewired all security wiring and leds so as to be much neater. There is only one piece of trim that could sit a little higher being below the steering wheel the amount of wires that has to feed up from the kick panel caused it to put some pressure on the trim. Wouldnt notice it if it wasnt pointed out and even then its only slight just nit pickin

I have finished putting in a led strip as a glovebox light with a reed switch I got off Leo. VERY bright. I got the strips that can be cut so if I find it is too bright I can always shorten it.

Have been having some issues with reverse lights which I am looking at tomorrow so hopefully I dont need to replace the reverse switch but if it comes to it.

My house was littered with interior trim and still is at this point if all goes to plan will all be back together before the long weekend but nothing ever goes to plan lucky I got the trusty Hilux

Im rambling at this point so ill cut it at that

Damn you've put a lot of effort into that! Looks great Dan.
Seems though you're pretty particular so I'll point out the '13 in the subject needs changing.

Great idea i think... i could definitely use a light in mine!

Does it switch upon opening/closing, or do you have a manual on/off switch?

I placed a reed switch in there which is a magnetically controlled switch. So basically the powered side of the switch is constantly powered and a magnet strategically placed will turn the led off on glovebox closure. I nearly put a door switch in there but they look ugly. This way there is nothing to be seen but the overwhelming amount of light

Very clever!!

I was thinking you would have gone with a door switch, but youre right that would have been bulky and a bit ugly.

Am booked into subaru for friday to get my dash calibrated to the immobiliser so should be good.

Not sure if I should get them to check the reverse switch while their there could probably do it myself but I shall enquire when I drop the car off

Am also getting my capacitor back 1 farad as my battery was losing voltage dramatically over a week so I sent it away to get tested and they said all is good so im not sure if im going to bother reinstalling it to be honest everything is earthed properly and I dont think the lights dim besides the interior led strips when theyre on I will have to check when the sub is cranked oneday

Just dropped car off at subaru they forgot I had my car booked into their computer system. Duh.
Typical NT though. They also cant guarantee they can code the 2nd hand dash to the car but they will fit it in when they can but no promises as to getting the job done
First question asked. Can you pick it up Monday? Bit hard when I live 350kms away. Not real happy. At this point not expecting them to get the dash in and if they do charge me hours for it. And if they cant still charge me hours for it. Fun and games I spose so now the waiting game until 430 when they will most likely ring and hand me back my car as was when dropped off

Minor update. Thought I would as its been a whil

Through bestmufflers got an x-force centre and y pipe is stainless today and awaiting postage and time to fit and carbon up a bit. Am really eager to find out how much drone there is going to be. Im hoping my shit tonne of dynamat in the boot will block some resonation fingers crossed.

Will keep posted. If drone does occur as ive always said the stock centre muffler will be getting reinstalled into the stainless system

Exhaust should be here this week. ALTHOUGH because my laptop is rooted properly (motherboard has melted in parts aswell as one of the speakers) so my need to take a base log at the stage the car is now and then one after to compare logs and to see if I can squeeze any driveability/performance out of the xforce system.

I am using Edward XRT and will more than likely be getting a retune to suit but is a bit hard atm as no way to take logs need a new laptop ASAP
