Hey Tangcla, I will buy yours for $300 mate.

I may get one if people reckon it's worth it, but will get my fuel sorted out this week and then take it from there.

I will take Trieu's for a spin, to see what it's like.

thanks Trieu

Then a drag

It helps on gear kickdown, just thought it'd do a bit more, that's all...

i've been watching this post with interest.
this is gonna sound funny but...
my 2.0 feels like i would expect the gt to, if i got one of these.....always has.
i have actually taken both cars to a service centre and said "this is how i want the gt to feel?" my point with them was "if it's DBW then its controlled by a computer, therefore adjustable?" "no" was the reply.
they reckon that the 2.0 was set to feel like that to give the illusion of torque, also that it is a sealed unit and un-adjustable.
of course once there's a few revs on board it's all gt but still.........
the action starts in the 2.0 pretty much as soon as you touch the pedal but the gt there is approx 2-4cm of nothing, bit like a merc  .
anyhoo thats my 2c

Lol.. really?

That's why I don't drive an auto anymore.. :p

Most auto's in my opinion you have to step on before they move, some were responsive.. but never as responsive as a manual.. unless.. it's like.. a bugatti.. but.. we're talking.. every day cars -_-

we had a 1992 E180 merc rafl.. automatic.. man.. you'd step on it.. and it would take a few seconds before it moved.. and it moved off 2nd gear, if you were still planted to the bottom.. it would downshift to 1st gear which wasn't selectable on the gear stick rafl!

the 2004 C200K is better, it'll feel powerful on the go when you hit it.. but.. you know it's really not that fast :p

Like you said, it's more of an illusion sometimes, I don't even feel the kickback/force in the GT anymore as you're so used to it.. but.. I can guarantee you that the person next to you will be holding on to dear life thinking WTF are you doing!? lol

Well.. I put in my sprintbooster tonight. Thanks for Frankie for the supply and Mike for the quick tips on the fly.

All I can say is INSANE!!!

Easy install once I had my hands on a very bright torch, pulled it out, plugged it in and connected the battery back up, started up for 10 minutes idle and off I went stalling twice reversing out of my driveway.

I knew the install had been a success..

I didn't bother trying with [I] mode.. but in [S] it felt solid, better than it used to be, a little more responsive but not as responsive like the previous [S#] setting, but it was comfortable to drive in.

I switched to [S#] and the girl was just a beast.. like trying to ride a rodeo machine.. the slightest tap and she'd wanna rev and go.. Off the lights just a tap and it was already peaking in the high revs..

Just totally insane. I'm definately happy with the gains from this modification, it'll take some time to get used to the touchy-ness but i'll get there in a few days..

I feel like a gumby again learning to drive, can't shift smoothly because it keeps revving over and all sorts of stuff, nearly stalled it on the streets twice and again when i pulled back home haha..

Just my 2 cents :]

You should! It's a good upgrade in my opinion.

The car feels really fun again with the feeling that it pushes you back into the seat, fast revs and all.. just.. have to learn to control it again..

So far.. I've stalled it 5 times.. again today trying to park on a hill nudging up slowly.. - not enough rev *bleugh...* tap it a bit more.. TOO MUCH ..

lol

The sprint booster does not give it any more power as such.

Theoretically the first half of the throttle does everything as in acceleration and the last half does very little to nothing.

The sprint booster sends a signal saying that your foot is say 1/2 way down which in theory is only 1/4 way down, so it makes it "feel" more responsive, because it doubles the sensitivity of your go pedal.

More of a gimmick than anything.

Spoke to a guy in the know today and said not worth the $450 or so.

Spend $1200 and get a custom tune on your ECU and make 45 kw atw  instead of nothing.

That's what I said... glad that I'm not the only one saying it. It helps in gear kickdown though, which is the only redeeming thing about it.

If anyone wants to buy mine for $400... let me know...
