It really shouldn't be your alternator, being the car is still reasonably new. But worth a look. Maybe alternator or battery ground / connection issue?

I will give it a go.

Yeh there is a spare key, I considered using that instead or changing the battery of the remote...but would that really be the problem? It doesn't happen often enough for me to be able to tell...

On a canbus car such as ours you can't "disconnect" the immobilizer

It's synchronized with your ecu, ignition barrel, biu and remote key

Might need to replace your biu. I have a spare one if you need it

I have an aftermarket alarm and immobiliser, which is what I was referring to getting disconnected...

There is a small chip in the factory key that can play up thats the size of a grain of rice, that is what imobilises your car if it falls out on the floor it wont start untill its nere the ignition.

id disconect the imobiliser part of the alarm, these aftermarket ones play up heaps at my work i by pass them, they have shit wiring and poor conectors too

Ok I'll contact the person that installed it for me and ask him if the aftermarket immobiliser can be bypassed to just run off the factory one.

Well let's hope it's the aftermarket one and not the factory one! If it's to do with the immobiliser at all that is.

I love all the braces and swaybars I have, and my car handles unreal, but honest to god I'm so fucking sick of my car creaking like an old man over bumps and down my driveway etc. After a stressful day at work it makes me want to shoot myself in the head :angry2:

They aren't creaking, they are complaining. "Why are we not on a track" "what the fuck is this huge bump thing on the straight"

Just drive as fast as possible over bumps and into driveways. The sound of your suspension, steering or diff giving way will surely drown out the creaks and groans coming from the braces and swaybars. Just a thought.

All these bushes, braces and what not on a daily driven street car = :russian_roulette:

Why do you think I sold my Legacy GT with a brand new $4000 2.5 long motor in it? 80kms a day became annoying with the full Whiteline catalogue under it.
