Yes in an ideal world. But a few things could throw your afr out. A boost / vacuum leak that's developed after the tune
A split vacuum hose, wastegate actuator malfunction, bad batch of fuel, blocked air filter, intercooler crack / leak....
And much more
Point is, an afr wideband gauge allows you to monitor the lifeblood of the engine - air and fuel. More specifically, the amount of fuel ratio to air. Too little and you will lean out, causing high compressed charge temps, excessive combustion heat etc.
Thus my point still stands - afr wiseband gauge, always
