Wheels were a bad choice for a VY. Coilovers fronts only? I also HATE those taillights.

Sorry for the negatives, but previous VY connoisseur here.

Wheels were a 'turbine' for a theme. I liked the Junkyard Dogs but I rectified that on my last V8.

Rear spring seat was adjustable for heat on the gold hat, two green locking rings under the coil and dampening adj on shock too.

I got the lights cheap after stock ones were cracked when i bought it

Never suspected and the one cop who pointed out it had a pod filter behind the drivers headlight, got a dumb look from me before I pointed out it was breathing through the factory airbox. Sneaky stealth build ftw!

For those that have not heard, a few weeks ago the TD04 finally gave up the ghost after copping 20+psi on E85, it was bound to be replaced at some point.

So with a BNR TD05-16g, a VF and a customised ATP Turbo to chose from... the ATP was the final pick of the bunch. The wife was not prepared to lose the low rpm torque so with up to 20psi available at 2700rpm on the latest E85 tune(18psi at 2700rpm on pump fuel) the little GTX2863R in 0.86 ex housing(roughly 8cm) with a 3" compressor inlet is proving to be a great little turbo. Only mechanical changes are ARP head studs, Permaseal MLS-R HG's and modifying/drilling the exhaust cam gear to suit the larger turbo on a stock bottom end :)

Power output is to be tweaked a little more over the next few weeks :)

The current shape STi and GenV LGT have variable cam timing on the intake and exhaust cams. LGT/FXT/WRX got variable intake cams only. I wanted the exhaust valves shutting around 5 degrees later than stock, so I removed the cam gears and modified them. Delibrately putting the timing belt one tooth out is too much retard on the exhaust cam ;)

Took a customer and his brother for a drive this afternoon on the pump fuel tune... 5th gear pull on flat ground from 40kph to 120kph(aka 1000rpm to 3000rpm) in 7.2 seconds. Traction control light was flickering at 2700rpm...

So torquey and responsive

So as a few people know, the Forester got hit by a Taxi 2 weeks ago while in Sydney. Flew down to Sydney to pick the car up and mechanical repairs are definitely substandard... See FB rant lol

Anyway, for those who have seen... my Pulsar is going to a new home and shortly, my 08 H6 5EAT Lib will be joining it...
