Another update, i've made progress on my intake install and will be doing a write up in the 3.0/3.6 section this weekend.

but the part that got me most excited, my exhaust finally arrived :D

Image

Should hopefully be going on around the 10/11th due to the next two weekends being taken up
Best part, will probably only cost a case or two  a few mates of mine are going to help with the install,
A few of them are qualified mechanics and we have a fully kitted workshop on base with a hoist and all the tools needed for the job

(I think ill be saving alot of money in the near future :D)

Exhaust looks great!

Where did you get this exhaust? I assume it is made for 3.0 N/A?

I would love to get a new exhaust on my 3.0

How are you doing the brake calipers? Make sure you prep them correctly and do 2 coats. I personally did mine with a brush as I knew I would fuck it up with a spray can and get bubbles etc.
Also which paint are you using?

Sweet! I will definitely jump on this pending a sound clip! So make sure you do!!!

Edit: Also - what are the main differences between this one and the stainless steel? I presume stainless steel lasts longer? ANything else?

ill get one up as soon as she is fitted.

and as for the differences? im not sure, maybe someone who knows can chime in here?

but its $260 cheaper for the Mild Steel vs Stainless Steel, and its also because both Best Mufflers and his dealer were out of stock on the stainless

Yeha I saw the price difference on their website.
Hopefully it's not too much of a compromise because I will much faster spend $500 than $700

well, to be honest, i dont think it will be much of a difference at all. one is mild, one is stainless. the mild might weigh less? might have the slightest of tones (deeper)
who knows, wont know till i fit it :D

I'd almost do it tomorrow if i had the jack stands!

Mild steel would sound better anyway on that system as they probably use a pretty thin/cheap grade stainless steel. Either way this place you are sourcing them from sounds like a great deal. Much better than others i have seen around.
