The AEM gauge is a 52mm gauge and fits in my cubby above the clock.

Am looking at getting an acrylic fabricator, I know off, to make a plate to mount the gauge and the output for logging.

It's output can be logged. I haven't yet setup the output terminal.

Sharpie works from home in North Altona.

He's flexible with times and you get to see him do the work if you wish to wait.

Also is a good opportunity to visit friends on that side of town.

What works good?

All the bits I install work well.

Definitely good to have the wideband O2 gauge. Would have saved me heaps of guessing earlier in my car build and tune. I almost place this in the must have category for a tuned car to be able to monitor the cars performance. Running too lean or too rich has consequences and this will tell you straight away if somethings wrong.

The Kartboy pitch stop mount has its place too. I opted for the Kartboy over the Group N STI mount as it was recommended by Matt and a few other people. It's definitely reduced drivetrain lash and combined with the STI transmission mount should further make the gear changes better.

Again all up for debate but I reckon it has merit so am giving it a go.

Was lucky enough to take this best for a drive last nigh, its got some mean mid range pull! has a very wide usable range of power and not too peaky, gets on boost very fast.

thanks for coming down and looking at my tune bro :)

Thought I'd update my build thread as I've a few more changes are on the way.

Firstly, I've stopped tuning with Matt and Kido Tuning. I've done so because Matt seems to be too busy and I'm finding his customer service is lacking. On his last visit to Melbourne, I spent 1.75 hours in dyno tuning with him at RTR.
The results were not great, hence I'm not posting any graphs, but following the tune my car showed signs of substantial leaning out on acceleration. I've since found some wild values in the throttle tip-in enrichment table which caused these lean spikes. Also I'd asked Matt if he was aware of the popping on decel and gear change fix that MSR and JacksGTB recently posted about. Matt advised he knew what to do and following the dyno run removed some timing from the base timing tables. My laptop had an issue over the next couple of weeks and therefore I couldn't check the tune to see how happy the engine was. I finally got it sorted last week and found IAM was less than 1.0 with significant FLKC. I logged the car via RomRaider to confirm it. I then sent off a couple of emails to Matt, last Saturday, with my results and the tune in question for confirmation of the issue and a fix. To date I have not received a response. I then made the decision on Wednesday after 5 days of no contact to send him a PM ending our relationship. I had been tuning with Matt since July 2012.

I've since had another tuner help me rectify the tune and I've spent the last week logging it daily and amending it to remove all knock. I've now put my Tactrix and laptop down and returned to family life.

Whilst early on Matt was very responsive with information and revisions, he's become more of a marketing machine and his quality has dropped in my opinion. He knows his stuff but a lack of time and attention to detail, I think will be his undoing. I'll leave it at that and don't wish to turn my build thread into a debate.

The next few weeks will see the car serviced and prepared with DW65c, one step colder spark plugs, and replacement of my second cat prior to a retune in the new year.

I'm sure my retune will conclude my build and I'm hoping to then simply sit back and enjoy the car.

Some interesting feedback Bruce, but I hope that sometime very soon you'll get to do exactly as you wish and sit back to enjoy your car!

Sorry to hear Bruce, I have not even gotten to that email as yet although it would have been today :) 300 emails a day is my current workload whilst in the middle of moving house. As always, a quick txt message to let me know you were waiting on an email reply was our agreed contact :)

After being knock ears free of knock on the dyno with massive intercooler heatsoak(which caused low boost on the dyno but high boost on the street), I am surprised it had FLKC but I assume at low rpm. The Throttle Tip In Enrichment was since your injectors are 80% larger and we had such a massive nose dive of AFR's on tip in. Would only need 55% of the pulsewidth to get the same fuel flow as stock injectors which is why fuel economy is so quick to go out the window on throttle tip in and throws AF Correction into a mess as it goes too rich and then too lean.
That timing fix does work on a stock airbox or when MAF scaling is sorted under 80g/sec :)

Either way, I hope your happy with the day to day driveability of the car and have your MAF scaled in for the intake :)
