Can this sytem emulate the OE features that show acceleration G, Fuel consumptione etc etc.
If you can find a way of doing that by interfacing with the ECU I bet a few more people would want this as ant alternative to the OE kit.
Nice job

Sorry no dummies guide to this, I bought the parts separately and assembled it.

Yes once I work it out I should be able to display any reading from the ECU
Here is an example of one that is working in a Subaru, I would like to try and find one that has gauges instead.

Happy to help you out with fascia mate, just let me know when you have the parts

These are the items that I bought, but feel free to do some research and get what suites your needs.

Lilliput screen: I didn't want to splash out her on transreflective technology which will allow much better viewing in direct sunlight to avoid glare / reflection. Instead i opt for the high brightness model, which is twice the brightness of the normal screen and not bad in daylight situations but not as good as the transreflective. I think the same screen in transreflective is about $650.
The Lilliput 669 GL also has HDMI input. Make sure that you order it with the auto power on and auto reverse camera switch. I wiould suggest you click on the make an offer button and mention that you want these options and bargin down on the price.

Motherboard: I used a Gigabyte mini ITX board which includes the CPU and onboard sound / video. Unfortunately I my this purchase before I bought the screen so it only has VGA. If I was to do it again I would choose a board with similar spec with HDMI.

You'll also need a hard drive, the case has the facility to house a 2.5" laptop HDD. I bought a Seagate 500GB one from MSY $75

You could buy a whole load and then sell and install them Tai. Such a top effort but most would have very little idea on how to do all of it. Let alone mould it into the standard spot...

Unfortunately some of these parts are hard to find, and you won't be able to walk into anystore to grab them.

Things like motherboards, ram, GPS dongle HDD you should be able to get at a good computer store like MSY
Things like screens , power supplies and cases you will have to purchase online unfortunately.
In saying this all parts should arrive within 2 weeks, and all the links I have provided where I bought my stuff were reliable.

Done a bit more research and found a software to display the ECU data that I'd like.
Just have to play around with setting etc, and connect it up. Only have the evaluation software at the moment but if all goes well I will buy it and see if I can embed it to Centrafuse.

Some screen shots of it using dummy data.

Unfortunately not, work has been flat stick and will be for the rest of the week. Will most likely be the weekend before I can dedicate time to it. Hopefully I don't have to take too much work home, and can do a couple of hours on the car after work before the sun goes down.

Got my new grill from Garbo (Phil), thanks mate it's in great condition.

I painted the mesh in black and installed it today. Looks much nicer IMHO very happy with the results :D
Undecided about the GT badge though, might grow on me.
