I've got a LOT of personal issues going on at the moment. Taking photos of a mod I did on my car is not high on my priority list - hell, I'm not even interested in modding my car as it is.

Does that wipe the whole rear windscreen or just until its at a right angle?

Having said that though, think about the cost rationally... they'd replace the glass with a different one (less $500) and the pump, wiper arm etc. would cost a lot less if it was all mass-produced and integrated. The wiring and water line would also be next to nothing to integrate, I mean it'd be the same as the wagon...

must be similar reason to why we get 2.5 ltr single scroll and Japan gets 2.0 ltr twin scroll...not fair or logical but fact none the less. Also maybe it just doesn't rain as much in Australia as Japan.

For that matter why do we get fog lights? In WA they are illegal to run.

no idea why foglights would be 'illegal'. Stupid, really. I guess those VZ SS Commodore owners really ruined it for everyone, with their blindingly bright lights. My foglights are projectors and are pointed quite low towards the ground.

mass production wouldnt cost any where near that amount. they (subaru) dont pay for products like we do. all legacy's in japan have rear wipers, heated & folding wing mirrors, there are other options not available here aslo like heated front windscreen & airpurfier & deodorizer.

Japan emmission laws aren't as strict as they are in other parts of the world. Thus why the US only ever got the 2.5LT in the WRX & Liberty/Legacy.

I think Japan is only now just starting to use the 2.5LT in the Legacy - Started with the S402?

That's actually why Nissan had to discontinue the SR20DET & the RB26DETT... Their new cars would be very popular in please like the US, but those engines are now considered to be "dirty"... Same as Mitsubishi discontinuing their 4G63 EVO motor.

If anyone's still following this thread - finally got off my lazy ass and finished plumbing the vacuum (water) lines to the rear wiper. All works well, except the intermittent feature. Need to figure out what the deal with that is, but running it off the one 12V wire off the body control module so far works fine. Just need to manually stop the wiper at the baseline position.

One possibility is that the AUDM Liberties all got the wagon body control module, and the wagon wiper being smaller has a shorter wipe duration.
