Don't be too concerned with melting the bumper mine likes to sit on the bumper at times have driven for over 3 hours with it and no issues I wish I got the exhaust shop to fix it while I got the headers fitted. Was too excited and forgot haha

got them straighten out a while back - bloke from exhaust shop did a bit of work to the mounts and done, no more touching.
he didnt want to use heat because apparently once you heat stainless it leaves marks.

update:

Purchased some STI mufflers, hopefully will arrive next week. Looking to add raptor headers (when available) and high flow cats to the exhaust system within the next month or two, as well as a re-tune :D

reason for the muffler change is to make the system a little quieter for the headers and high flow cats.

still thinking of a intake system but i think ill only install one if it has proven results (thus waiting for further development on the raptor intake system)

STI mufflers are on - its actually nice to have everything a bit quieter!

isn't as burbley, more higher pitched tone. cant wait for headers and cats for a bit more volume + horses :D

Nice car you got there mate. Real clean I like you mods so far. Looks great.

Say, what are your thoughts on the Kings Low springs? Did they stiffen up the car too much or make you bottom out on speed humps and the like?
Cheers

cheers mate!

the springs actually lowered my car a lot more than i thought the would. As far as ride quality go, they are a little stiff for my liking (roads around me have plenty of pot holes which defiantly doesn't help).

will possibly be flogging these off in the near future for cheap cheap (and they been on my car for bugger all, ~2000-3000kms) for something softer...not overly hung up about handling on my car.

Thats what I have heard about Kings. They can be stiff. The stock Subaru suspension is stiffer than most cars on the road. That said I want to improve my handling without reduce the ride quality, hence the reason I asked. Its been a while since I fitted Kings on any car for this reason. I thought they may have improved the ride quality.

Still, at that ride height you have got, it still looks nice.
Cheers

Yeah true. Possibly be looking at fitting sti pink springs to stock kyb shocks. May not be as low but more soft than kings.

little update:

installed a Bluetooth audio receiver. cheap $10, really happy with this unit! had another ebay one which had a range of about 1 meter, got rid of that and hooked this one up.

Image

great to add Bluetooth to your anycar unit/aux on the cheap. got the idea from someone on this forum but can remember who posted it!

next up for audio: im getting a annoying rattle from my drivers side front pillar (right next to my head) which im gonna try tackle next...not sure how though!
