You coming on the cruise? I'm sure I'd be able to take you for a lap then anyway?

yeah should be able to make the cruise. My tune is getting done that week so I wonder if that will have any effect. Oh and over 3000 rpm i'm getting the odd flame or two  hope the tune will sort that out!

Hey james, car is looking mint after these mods!
Just curious to know how much you paid for your kingsprings at tech 9 and how much did they lower your liberty? As i am chasing a set for my 2008 liberty sedan:)
Just bought a set of BSA-179 19inch rims from tech 9 and i know the boys there to a great job:)

Very impressed with the look of your car with the red and black theme! Definately keep an eye out for you on the roads ;)

Cheers

King springs I paid something like $300 for front and rear (only because they had a small muck up with my rims order) plus a friend of mine knows the owner whos name also happens to be Scott actually haha

Not exactly sure how low they dropped it, all I know is it sits as low as It can without actually having to buy coilovers.

Think there going rate there anyway is about $450 installed, plus if you can find them cheaper elsewhere they will beat it.

I've paid $525 (supposed mates rates) for my last car at Wilkinson suspension so it's at least $75 cheaper than them for the same thing! anyways!

But overall I'll def be going back there for the coilovers anyway, seemed like good people!

Coming on the cruise on the 27th? Can have a look then if you like!

Hahaha yeah i know scott there too:)

Definately decent guys there who offer decent service! Sat up on the couch while they put my rims on and every 5 minutes they were coming out and offering me energy drinks haha!

I have plans on also getting coilovers down the track when i have some spare monies lying around, however i think kingsprings are the way too go at the moment :)

$450 isnt to bad at all really? id do them myself if i didnt need to get my guards rolled :|

Wont be at the cruise on the 27th either:( Going to stereosonic that day :| . Had i have known the cruise was on then i would not have bought my ticket but ill definately be coming along to the next one, after i get a few mods done too:)

Thanks again!

Interested to see too, can you ask them if their graphs are supposed to say HP or is it kW? Also is yours a manual or auto?

I'm confused at the numbers the ASG dyno is pumping out. Is this an at the fly wheel, or at the actual wheels reading. And also if it's pumping out a HP reading or a KW reading. Because if I'm reading that graph right (being at the fly). Your engine has lost 20kw from the stock 180kw. But if it's meant to be at the wheels then, well that's sick

jd - mate you did the same thing as me - come from a ve ss to a gt !

ve ss would put out about 215-220 atw (270kw at the flywheel) in manual and about 210 in auto

but the ve obviously has a flat torque curve and more of it

in terms of the above, the only way a flywheel kw reading can be made is if an engine dyno is utilised (ie engine out of the car)

the figures quoted are a chassis dyno, measuring output at the wheels.

dyno numbers shouldnt mean anything (other than a guide) as there are various correction factors and variables that can affect the end output

for eg my naturally aspirated 2 litre celica put out 176hp at the front wheels on a dyno that showed an 11 second n/a four cylinder only making 216hp at the wheels - this car would probably make 230-245hp at the wheels on most other dynos
