Updated my WTB: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18441&p=259331#p259331
After an Innovate WBO2 tailpipe adapter please.

I've sourced the BOSS-TRANSVERSE LINK #20216FA000 for alloy lca's from Makin & Luby.

My 200k old stock clutch (!!!) has started making a shrill warble when the pedal is depressed.
I guess this is the throw out bearing on the way out?

WOOT new clutch time = install STi torsen flsd at the same time at last...

And I'm looking for the p/n for the cast impeller water pump please :)

If there was any time worth doing it, it would be while his clutch is getting replaced wouldn't you agree? And as for track, I'm hoping I can convince him to join me for the next test & tune day :) If he doesn't, I'll keep harassing him until he does.

Brandon is absolutely correct, it would be more worthwhile to put in an ATS 1way plate front diff, and a matching 1.5way rear. To go with the Cusco Tarmac Gear I'll find eventually ;) But I'll settle with STi spec for the near future.

Yeah long term I'd love it to be reliable on a track.
That's a focus of this project.
Not neccessarily massive power, but reliable in all conditions and even more fun to drive, absolutely.
It's so affordable with Subarus, relatively speaking, why not?

to me its like putting a diff lock in a 4x4 that's never going to do any hard 4x4ing just basic dirt rd stuff.

I think you would be better putting the money into a rebuild.

have you been quoted how much to fit?

It was $800 inc a clutch install last time I checked.

To me, not putting an upgrade diff in - is like having a car with a 300kw capable built engine, with a shoddy supporting build, basic suspension and braking mods, just sitting around not being driven (or enjoyed much) at all.

But each to their own :P
