Does anyone have a pre face lift manual ECU? My car does weird shit logging about 70% of the time when the MAF voltage goes above 2.5v. I want to rule out the ECU.

Just take it to MRT, they will sort you out with a safe and reliable, generic tune

Whats even better, they will lock your ecu so no one (who doesn't know what they're doing) can edit your tune

PFFFT... I kid!

Just working on getting it onto a dyno still. As for the computers, I cannot say too much, but there is a chance I might go aftermarket computer in the near future. And go big.

Hey Ian

What's the story with this? Why an aftermarket ecu?

Just thinking it might be nice to get all of the features that an aftermarket ECU offers. Big one would be flex fuel. I'm not rushing into it, I assure you.
Need to do more research on CAN related shit.

Good idea on the research

I think you will find it extremely difficult to source an aftermarket ecu compatible with all the canbus requirements

I understand there is something in train but be prepared to fork out $6k plus

As you would no doubt understand, I am at the point where 6k doesn't represent a big percentage of what has been spent on this shit heap. I fully intend on getting it running on the stock ECU first. I will know more about my diabolical idea in the next few weeks. It is dependent on what some nameless person ends up doing. I would happily volunteer my car as a mule, seeing as I only use it every second month.
