I'd get 225

Could have taken mine when you were at Marks, although it's not 5! I spread them out just so you couldn't take them

p.s wheel painter knew what he was saying when he suggested charcoal / darker colour.

Mark is not very public about who he is buying wheels for. I spotted a couple of yours there some time ago, but did not realise they were yours, otherwise they might have discretely turned up in my garage!

The painter is seeing things from his perspective, as are you, and I dont have any issue with other people's perspective, as long as it aint on my car!

Ordered some more bling from Japan Parts last night. Some new centre caps as two had surface cracks and a 3rd has one lug missing. Also some black lug nuts, just to offset all that chrome/silver look that few appreciate, and some STI valve caps! Now that must be good for at least another 10% powa gain, yer bro!!!

These are 7.5 inch 2006 version. Not sure what will fit, but I will leave that to the tyre experts. I hope it will be the fatter 225s.

Definitely in the plan, but will stay with the standard pully, so not chasing anything really big in terms of numbers. It is still a daily sleeper!

Found some tyres this morning. Not what I was looking for, but they are cheap.

Federal 595 RPM 18/225Y40 for 160 per wheel fitted and balanced. It was too good to pass up. I was going to look for Bridgstones, either the RE002 or S001, but just found it hard to go past this price.

Got them from the same place where the wheels are being refurbished, Wheel Tech, Dandenong South.

Worth another plug at that price! Wheel Tech, Dandenong South!!!

My new bling bits arrived from Japan this morning. Wow, only 5 days to my door.

Checked in with wheel tech this morning and they have the prep work done. Painting and finishing will be done this week.

Should have them on the car with the new tyres and bling next week

Tried some HID low beam and fog combination at 5000k. Love the color and look but appeared to be a fragmented beam with less light on the road. So last weekend, I reverted to my non HID headlights while I go about revising the HID set back to a high power Philips Xtreme Power. Might have a play to see what I can do.

Just got home today from a good long drive. Melbourne to Mudgee and beyond! Reasonable economy at 7.2 to 8.0 l/100kms. Avg for the entire trip was 7.4. Ran beautifully all the way and oil consumption was minimal. Not bad for more than 262,000 kms on the dial. Finished up at the local car wash today, and she needed alot of TLC. There are bloody great locusts in central NSW, as large as iPhone!!!

Is that economy on E85 or on 98 RON for this trip. Good result for either however. You must be happy. :D
