Saw it do three dyno runs on their dyno day, this thing goes from 2000rpm to redline in about 2 seconds with no wheel spin, was blindingly quick

Hey GB? Ummmm not really.....

Been playing with learning view, rom raider and logging and also learning more about tuning....especially in relation to cold starts values & protocols....e85 can be a bitch to crank and start on really cold days.....learning heaps atm though...all good fun :D

Car is going in for a fine tuning session on the 21st of May for e85 and prem 100 and all round look over the car....Danny wants the car over a couple of days..

Also, currently investigating and reseaching what external wastegate setup I'm going to do via size, increase rear housing, external gate at rear housing or up pipe, wastegate brands, pre load spring etc etc...

Thats pretty much it....I'm being egged on to start on suspension and cosmetic mods....but its not really on my priority list atm....

I really want to finsh up the engine mods 1st then see if I want to move on to the rest of the car?

But so far soo good....no problems....really enjoying the car :)

nope dont see myself going twistmount...if I was going to do it...i would do it on another car or If I blow this one....the car is setup enough it's not worth changing now...

my turbo is: ATP Garrett GTX3071r A/R 0.72-0.78 cant exactly remember now

my turbo is internal as well and with the amount of boost running, looking at my graphs and comparing internal Vs external.....you basically want to go external....some cars good gains are made...some hardly...but helps maintain boost, prevents spiking/creeping and better flow...

bigger turbo? what are you trying to achieve....bigger is not always better GB....as you would know....pick a target? say 350kw? and stick to it....find a turbo that has the efficiency for that power output...

is the car for daily? track? drag? all these factors will play a part....you might want to keep your current turbo and just upgrade the rear housing? many options....I'm sure you'll find it and work it out...good luck mate! :)

as for me? I don't want to go bigger....i still find my setup slightly laggy....but thats just me....you can always gear down but it's not practical in some cases....

What rpm are you at when it kicks you in the back?

hmmmm good question? well I know boost starts to kick in at about 3100? and from what I can see it's kick in the back just shy of 4000 rpm?

3100 is not too bad seeing as I imagine it pulls pretty decent to redline.

my issue with my turbo is not knowing exactly what it is and what size wheels its got ect atp wont tell me the specs as its his custom design, god knows why anyone would want to spend 3500 on a turbo when you could buy something out of the box like yours that will do the job fine....

my car is not daily as i have a company car, it gets driven once or twice a week sometimes it drive it on the weekend, i havent driven it since dyno day as i havent looked at that issue yet

the other reason for wanting to go twist was so i could use a crosworth intake manifold but after reading a link gambit posted they are not that great other than the fact your throttle body is in the middle

power wise id be happy to get over 300awkw on 98

STAR DATE UPDATE supplemental:

Also Purchased In This Package Is a 10 PSI PRE LOAD OUTER and a 11 PSI PRE LOAD OUTER springs..and inside comes with a middle 7PSI PRE LOAD.....all up costing about $400.00 delivered :)

Planning to run around the same boost levels.....but I'll leave this up to Danny from springy and he can judge what settings and boost levels to run....I'm not expecting any gains from this install..

It's more of a insurance item to maintain on boost properly...prevent premature venting, surge, boost spiking etc etc....

Things considering on how to install:

1/ Via up pipe
2/ Via rear housing - either modify existing or get another one and modify it via scotty's customs
3/ New dump pipe without the splitter or modify existing phat dump
4/ Screamer pipe routed back to exhaust ( not venting )
5/ Hmmm Misc item(s)...

Probably do this install around July time....see how we go? Still in the process of sorting out E85 cold starts...which is getting much better over time :D

Niiice!
Sell dump, EWG from up pipe to 3" dump with varex or similar remote/ecu controlled valve to screamer option, lol.
Fun now with room to grow  , and no need for hacking a perfectly good dump and turbine housing 8)
Just my amateurish, magazine mechanic 5 cents, BTW...
