had my outback on the dyno on the 08/05/10.
Seems the intake i made had an effect. no other mods. same IT/AT etc.
This is a completely stock tune, with a 3" S/S intake, and 2.5 straight through muffler.

3000rpm = 67kph, 4000rpm = 91kph, 5000rpm = 114kph, 6000rpm = 137kph

got my rear Teein flex shocks back from Fulcrum on Thursday. Thanx Tuspeed. After the 9kg Swift springs were fitted, the valving was too soft and the springs were oscilating on bumps. Fulcrum have now maxed out the valving on my Flex's, they said they couldn't go any more. be interesting to see how they go. will be fitting the shocks this weekend if the rain stops. Also hopefully give me a chance to finish plastic welding my bumper for the FMIC. should definetly have alot more oversteer than last time.. Also picked up a surge tank for the engine bay, will fit it with my Bosch 044. then ditch the factory fuel reg and run an aftermarket one, can then drop the fuel pressure by 1-2 psi to lean the top end out till i turbo her. 02 feedback should still be able to compensate for the slightly leaner scenario Hoping for arounf the 12.5:1 afr range. currently 12 as can be seen on the above dyno graph. will then add alittle more timing to assist.

Dave,

Seems like you are teasing us by posting the pics and no details! :(

Or, are you just giving us the pics in-line with your previous plans and posts?

yeh, in line with previous posts.

Turbo is a GT3788R.. T4 twinscroll 675hp Garrett, 44mm mv-r tial to control boost. 3788 has the 40R front wheel and an exhaust wheel in between the 35R and 40R.. they are supposed to be slighty laggier than the 35R and make almost the same power as the 40R. Mates has a 40R on his ez30 in his Gen2 lib, makes over 400hp atw @ 14psi at 5500rpm, but revs to 7500rpm but fuel pump was duying. He calls it scarry to drive.

There is lots of cabling and sundries luying around. have and will be re-routing alot of things to make space. have already relocated and changed routing of heater piping. Cusco strut brace removed so i can fit the 4" intake. the starter cabling has been moved, as will the engine loom where the turbo is sitting. Also might have to play with the clutch lines to get position of the turbo right. I will be using the ACL HD heat shielding i got today for Repco for $45 a sheet to protect stuff. will also be using a turbo beanie and wapping the turbo dump in acl and heat wrap. pulled the stock fuel pressure reg off today and cut the valve off. going to weld a 90* barb onto it and use an aftermarker fuel reg in its place down the line. Got a surge tank and an 044 bosch fuel pump pusing through some decapped sti pink injectors to supply enough fuel for what i need. going to run around the 10-11psi mark on the stock motor, running 10.5:1 afr with some average timing. should see around the 240kw mark given the maths i crunched the other week. Giving me the same power to weight as a 220kw GD sti. once i built the spare bottom end i have then she will se around 23psi, should make and aiming for around 550hp atw. but the new motor is a long way off, as i still have to collect the parts for it and then screw it together myself. Also i still have to make manifold, IC piping in the next month or so, while reverse engineering my own ecu so i can reflash it. project to definetly keep me busy... lol..

These arrived the other day in the mail as well. 8)

Shit that snail is a monster :) Also that FMIC isn't that stealth with the huge gaping hole; are you going to install some mesh?

Aren't Flex the next step up from the Super Streets? If they can't handle a 9kg spring I can believe it when I hear people complain of how soft the SS are.

bumper is only half plastic welded. still have to do the drivers side to finish it off.
Then paint it and its all done, the driving lights are missing but will be installed.

The Tein flex are the step up from the SS.
Factory they are 6kg front and rear, i think 7,8 are options. pretty soft for 1600kg of car.
i would hate to think what the SS are like, be very pooey IMHO.
best bit about the flex are the are base adjustable, unlike the SS.

well i finally finished doing the front bumper mods for the FMIC.
came out alright.. although the clear coat is far from perfect and need a little yellow to age it.

I also made a harness bar to keep the race harness from pulling me down into the seat, but back into the seat. 8)
Cant complain for $100 worth of bits and pieces to make it. even colored to match in interior... lol

Can't wait to check out your car Dave :) Hopefully in a few weeks!

Post up some pics of the harness setup. The front bar work looks neat as well.
