Wrinkle black and polished alloy would be my color combo preference.

Awesome, awesome project kiks (yes double awesome). Although I can't help but think that all your masterful gen3 suspension tuning work goes backwards a fair bit. I'd imagine the typical subi understeer will now be a distant thing of the past

Can't wait to see this beast in anger.

Cant wait to see this thing running ! oh yeah !
A mate of mine is putting the exact same engine in a Supra, its been on the plans for a while but yet to be executed.
Hard to find a workshop in Melbourne that has the experiance and knowledge with these v12's to do it.

V12 Twin Turbo Liberty

But I do enjoy the commentary on the car, good and bad. The thread is running on a heap of forums, and some are troll fests, some are good and technical, I just like to hear peoples opinions on it as a lot of good ideas come that way.

One thing though when involved in this sort of thing is observing what other people are drawn to. There is a crowd who stare blankly at the intercooler, turbos, manifolds and ask blank face questions. Others see some of the complexity in it. There's still 50 problems to sort out, yet the car could run tomorrow with a tailshaft installed. Its all the little nutting out of problems that is aided with combined wealth of knowledge of car heads on forums. Some great answers come from some unlikely people and places :D

Couldn't agree more. We have a small low traffic forum for motor swaps that have a few people like minded in throwing engines into other cars.

The threads you see make it look easy to most but the time involved, 4 million measurements, designing mounts, 4 million more measurements, piping, what you can or can't cut, checking with engineers, measuring some more, cutting and working off scribbles on your garage floor etc etc it's pretty involved.

Shame I moved to Melbourne would of liked to see this in person. Didn't know about the Toyota v12, something to keep in mind

Mate, this is an epic build and I am sure the results will reflect well on your efforts.

Personally, I like the sound of a nice V8. Anyone thinking about a C63 engine in a GenIV?

yes the C63 engine is a beast, but should at least keep it all Jap (plus shedloads cheaper!). That's why I'd be thinking a 1uzfe (lexus V8), only 4.0l but six bolt mains and forged crank too. Only problem is that it's a wide mofo of an engine. But I have to still hand it to kiks who woulda thought you could shoehorn a V12 with two turbos into a gen3? 8)

Clayton is one of my best mates and I told him it's not a Ferrari and he is gay for going red.

You've seen what a grumpy prick I am on here and can probably imagine I wouldn't be quite so diplomatic if you went for gay Ferrari red too.

And it looks like there is one hell of a colour flip. Along with the 40 or so tints there is a half bottle of HoK kandy red in there. Debating whether they go on the gen4 or the skid pig.
The faces are not prepped after sandblasting, bit of an experiement by my friend to see if the pearls flip individually per spoke apparantly. Painters high on fumes :D Love it.

Yep chuck em on the gen3, paint the valve covers to match and give the whole body a little respray in gen4 white pearl. Downside is no more sleeper! :?
