Very nice! I used to have an MY06 STi myself. You'll have a ball with it.

Ahh, I see which LED's you're doing - I thought you were doing interior lights, etc. Surely any local electrician can do that for you - most of the LED's in everything are just surface mount jobs I think.

Love the Sti - nice mod list although forgive me for being blunt, but you really should get rid of some things in the mix for true peace of mind, if you follow my drift...

Don't worry original stuff that was done by MRT ended up frying the stock pistons for the prev owner.

S&J only touch the car now and did all the current engine work and tune.

Funnily enough that was going to be my rhetorical question - ie I wonder why the stock motor now has cp pistons... ;)

Couple of new bits arrived today.

The EJ257 (and I think other EJ's actually) has a bad habit where the oil pickup cracks and bang bye bye engine. It actually has me thinking I wonder if the Lib's ever have this issue?

As a precaution I will be solving this problem, and the best solution is with a new oil pickup from Killer B in the USA. For good measure I also got a waffle tray as it was pretty cheap.

Still waiting on Group N engine mounts from Japan Parts, LED conversion parts to come back from the USA, and also an S204 trim kit to arrive from Japan (converts from silver to matt black interior pieces).

Yep Libs can have the oil pickup issue: telltale is the oil light on the dash staying on too long on startup.

Moroso make a similar pickup IIRC ;)

It is the weak weld on the pick up neck that causes the problem and cracks...not that actual whole pick up cracking...

just make sure you get the right moroso or you'll find that it wont fit....just as I did ...

Wet Sump, 6.0 Quart Capacity, 7" Deep is the correct one...

Packages with the best sticker arrived today to my desk, i'm a sucker for OEM goodness. Group-N engine mounts.

This just means now I have to do all the hard work of installing them at the same time as the oil pickup lol.

More OEM goodness arrived today. Genuine STi lip badges for the STi copy lip.

I got a spare whilst I was at it in the inevitable event that the lip hits a low flying object.
