Theyre the new DBA slotteds. Theres no left and right rotor, now just one as they have multiple angled slots.

As above, they are DBA 4000's. Was lucky enough to buy the car with them already on

Oh my gosh Prezza! I thought I was the cool one with the DIY wheel job! But I think you have taken the title from me my friend!! Really good job on the wheels... I WILL be referring to this thread. :D
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

Well you were first in doing this job (just checked the date of your thread  )... so I was never the cool person...

Hahaha, your took kind.
Iv been spraying wheels since 2007, so you pick up a few handy tricks along the way.

Everyone says to remove the tyres from the wheels, but you will be amazed at how good the results can be with just using a bunch of blank business cards.

As a tiny update to this thread, car was overdue for a service, so i gave it an oil and filter change.

While i had the airbox half out, i removed the intake resonator (did this mod to my old wrx sti and loved it!). Then while the airbox was out, i finally changed the parkers over to LED's. Had to remove the battery for the left side, but thats easy enough.

Headlights and parkers finally match, and look schmick!

Rear brakes are totally dead, so i have new rear rotors, and new pads all round which should be going in tomorrow, time permitting.

Does any one have any tips for installing the parkers? On my old wrx sti, i had to remove the headlights. Is it the same with the Lib?

The guy I bought the car off had an amp and sub in the boot, but kept the sub.

What you see in the pic is me running the factory parcel shelf sub off the amp.
I now how have my old boxed 12" sub in there, so it's no longer such a mess.

Argh! Theses rear brakes are doing my head in!

All i wanted to do was a simple rotor and pad change, and then adjust the hand brake. The thing is just not going to plan!

Pulling the rear left rotors off, the drum pads got stuck on the rotor, and wouldnt disengage, no matter how loose i adjust the handbrake from the adjuster cog behind. Ended up coming off, but not without popping off the 2 little sping/cup tensioner thingo's. I put these back on, using the right side as a guide, and the rest was an easy job (done this twice before).

But now that its all back together, its making some god awful noises! Rolling down by street, it made a bit of a pop/crack noise, and now it sounds like one of the rear brakes is constantly on, with a evident grinding type noise. The rotors arent getting hot, so im not sure whether its the damn caliper or handbrake shoe that is binding.

I dont have time to pull it all out now (have assignment due tomorrow), so on the weekend, im going to have to pull both rear calipers and rotors back off, and see what the heck is going on!

Soo annoyed right now! :angry2:

As an update to the above post, i pulled everything out and checked it. All was fine.

I has a suspiction that the new pads were just a little uneven, and perhaps there was a peak on the pad which was constantly touching, and would wear off once i take the car out and give it a few good hard stops to bed them in.

Brought my old man along, who spent most of the time with his head half out the window, confirming the noise was coming from the rear left. Every hard stop i did, the noise got less and less. After about 10mins of driving, the noise was gone, and everything is once again sweet :D

My paranoia got the best of me, but im glad to have working brakes again :P

Next on the list:
- Iv orderd some special stickers, which ill post up once they arrive.
- I wanted a carbon grille, but cant afford it, so im going to be ordering some black vinyl off ebay, and wrapping my current grille. The honeycomb will stay, just wrapping the chrome edges, and im going to possible remove the oval subaru badge, and stick a offset mounted STi badge.

NOW FOR YOUR HELP:
When i bought the car, it came with personalised plates, which mean nothing to me. I never changed them, as they were paid for the the year.
They expire in a few months, and i want to get something that means something (anything) to me.
SO! Suggestions on what plates to get? Only criteria, is they must conform to the $90pa layouts, and will be Silver with black lettering.

haha, no. My old STi used to have "Subaru Technica International STI" stickers on the doors. Just little ones, and i loved the look.
So some one with a WRX Tuned by STi pointing these decals out to me, which is for people with a Tuned By STi. Ill be putting them on the doors.
