Replacing the stock shocks and springs with coilovers will be a straight swap. Undue bottom two bolts that connect to the hub and abs and brake line supports and then the top 3 nuts and it should drop straight out for the fronts. The rears are one bolt on the bottom and then two top nuts, again should drop straight out and then do the reversal for the install.

Sweet thanks, i thought that'd be the case.

What do most people install them on first up? height, damper setting?

Wagon owners,
I just pulled up the carpet to see how easy it is to access the rear struts... the rear quarter trim gets in the way of the two bolts on top of the struts (is there 2 or 3 bolts on the rear's, i can't see the third under the trim), which could be pushed out of the way i guess... Does the metal plate between the car body and the bolts need to come off too?

Great, thanks. it'll be a stretch but they should be pretty accessible. Lucky the rear quarter trim is flexible enough to push it away.

If you have ratchet spanners your life will be eaiser. If not, you'll need to push the trim in a little to gain access. Pretty straight forward. Do not over tighten the strut top nuts! They don't need to be crazy tight, but obviously tight enough.

Coilovers installed.
It was a fun process, got stuck on the lower bolt of the front left strut though. that thing was damn tight.
All in all it was easy and its another good lesson on mechanics (suspension).

I installed them at the height they came in the box, and this morning i lowered the front 12mm so the car sits perfectly level.
The rears are tucking nicely, and i can barely put a finger in the fronts.
Car drives unreal, although the wheels need to be aligned and i want a little more camber on the fronts. Tyres are still shit, i'll deal with them later.

Wow, that is one sexy ass wagon (more so than before :D)

Almost makes me wonder whether its worth spending the extra few hundred for coilovers instead of waiting for STT to come around...

Yes, 100% do it.

i'm so impressed by them, literally takes 2 minutes to adjust the height (after the wheels are off), 1 minute for camber and 5 seconds for dampness.
Love them!
