I was driving to Bunnings as one does on a Sunday. Just changed into 3rd gear and ker-bang...knew what it was straight away. Coasted into a train station car park. It has now been whisked away to AMauto. I guess it had just stretched the rod bolts over time. The hole appears to be in the top of the casing. Most of the oil is still in the bottom end.

Sadly, we shall never know how fast this triumph of Coyote's patience was. Those who have driven the car know the answer was 'very,' but we will never have solid data.

Would've been great to see an 11 second slip on unopened motor !

I guess this just makes the new motor going in more pronounced

Yep! That was the first thing I though when saw them. I remember reading your thread on NASIOC. I hurried over there and compared the data. They will be getting replaced buy the Jun items I have. Funny, the guy I bought the heads off you mentioned your car a few times. He also mentioned he might have a buyer for my old engine. I had to explain that wouldn't be considered fair trade.
