Dropped by Kewish Transmissions late arvo today and let David take it for a drive. He could not believe the shifting performance! He says I must be happy with that outcome. He has even offered to take the valve body mod out if Matt cannot tune around it. He put the car through a range of dynamic situations and loads, and was very impressed.

The work, nah....., the magic that Matt is weaving into the fabric of our ECU/TCU is just awesome!

He would still suggest that where engine improvement and performance is gained, there is a valid use of doing the valve-body mod for the auto when the auto has stock clutch packs, then tuning via someone like Matt. However, he stated that once the rebuild of the clutch packs is done, then he doubts the valve-body would be needed if the subsequent re-tune was done by someone with Matt's know-how.

All in all, it augers well for the future modders of the auto fraternity. Autos rock! :air_kiss:

Glad to hear you are loving it :) I actually suspect the 2nd/3rd shift issue is in the ignition timing now. Going to start winding in some timing and see if we can get some tyre chirps on gear shifts ;)

Sorry too for the off topic talk Mark,

But Matt, what advantage would the bigger injectors give an NA over the stock injectors?
or is this EZ36 also E85 tuned or boosted or some kind?

Must be stoked mark - well done now go enjoy the beast :)

Matt - bit out there question but what is the likelihood that the volatile memory of our ecu's can overwrite te hard rom changes you make for the ecu/tcu interfacing?

(this is in no way turning me off my tune but just putting it out there)

Mick, yes I am enjoying the car! Does it show? And we have not started on performance yet, so that should lift the bar again. Last dyno was 151 kw atw, so when Matt plies his wares, we will check the real world numbers with a Springy Motors dyno run. Regardless of the number though, it is a pleasure to drive again

Agreed. Would be pointless on a N/A engine.

ROM is copied into RAM which is where some ECU self learning occurs. ROM is permanent though.
