The 1jz Cressida was!

I tried calling you yesterday matt to see if there was anything I could do to assist the shifting

It seems when I use the tiptronic shifter to shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd that it doesn't shift

Im talking bout short shifting too - like at just before 6000rpm which is 1100 under the rev limiter

Some fine tuning perhaps?

Also can you have a look at my learning view snapshot in the tuning section of this forum and tell me what u think the correction could be?

Cheers

Mini update

Finished installing my sound system consisting of:

- kenwood mp3 6 stacker headunit out of 2006 Subaru outback
- line out Convertors to run rca's to amps
- 6.5" splits up front
- standard mcintosh coaxials in rear doors
- sound deadening everywhere
- 8" response sub in parcel tray
- 12" cerwin vega subs in ported box
- response 2x150wrms amp for subs (in bridged mode delivering 350wrms to the subs)
- response 4x100wrms amp to front and rear speakers
- compression horns under front dash (I've since disconnected these as they're too loud and not really needed)
- 2 gauge power cabling to the amps
- 4 gauge alternator and earth cabling (biggest p.i.t.a)

Sounds pretty good for a stock headunit - aftermarket one would definitely improve this but for now it does the job for something that cost me only a minimal amount.

The amps and subs will be coming out again this weekend in readiness for next week's Wsid revisit and the following week's track day

Waiting on some tweaks to my tune from matt and will hopefully hit the drag strip next Wednesday with some tweaks to get me into the low 12's

Thanks guys

First run was against a 1200 Mazda wagon 13bturbo with 620 atw!!!

Should run a low 10 high 9 soon !!

My first run was with the old tune

Then flashed matt's revision for second run went 12.48 so going back to first tune and looking to improve shifts

Its still boost cutting at 6000rpm in fourth before the line so gonna back boost off a little now forthe next run

I want a flat 12!!

Wish me luck guys

Thanks guys much appreciated

Didn't end up beating the 12.21. Only had three runs 12.46 and 12.61 were the other times.

Best mph was 109.8, and it's still boost cutting before the line at 6000rpm, so I know for a fact it's got another 0.2 in it to get to 12.00 or 11.9XXX

Taking the best of all the time slips, it would do 1.74 60ft, 7.8 to 1/8, 110mph and 11.9 something.

Not going back anytime soon but maybe once some more minor tweaks can be made (eliminate fourth gear boost cut or raise it and less wheelspin off the line).

For now I'm happy with the results

Goes to show the work phat / garage 88 / matt (kido tuning) can weave

We have some great resources at our disposal guys - mick's knowledge of the little things are what make the difference and I can't wait to get my 2.5 build done (collaboration between garage 88 and me).
