I Had issues from 2nd to 3rd with the standard pitch mount and crossmember bushes!!

Yeh but that shouldn't affect your trap speed as the 2nd part of the track you would only be shifting from 3rd to 4th. Would affect your ET though.

still would be qtr of a second of more easy, both auto and manual have there issues

The whole crap about missing shifts etc not affecting trap speed is bullshit. Wanna test it? Throw it in neutral halfway down the track for 40 metres then put it back in gear and cane it, then see what the trap speed is

If you miss a gear and lose momentum (especially in the lower gears or first part of the track) then it will affect trap speed

When I was missing first to second and third to fourth cos it wouldn't shift, my mph was tanking

Mick missing 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd isn't the same as coasting in neutral, that's overkill as you are making a bigger impact. Missing a gear in the 1st half of the track is not as much of a big deal because the car still accelerates exponentially then tapers off. Missing a gear in the 2nd half of the track is a bigger impact...

This is from all my reading about drag racing anyway. Test for me was when I launched poorly, shifting into 2nd way too early and same with 3rd. Trap speed was only 1mph slower than my next run which was a good launch and normal shifts

I didn't say it wouldn't affect your time, I said it wouldn't affect your trap speed.

How can that be possible? The less time you are accelerating the less distance you have to accelerate to your max speed.

If you were to do a perfect run, then do another run exactly the same except for slightly missing a gear (any gear), which results in your ET being a little slower, then how could the MPH be the same on both runs?
How are you magically making up for the slight amount of time that you are not accelerating?

In the second run, once the gear is properly engaged you would have to be accelerating faster than you did on the first run to make the MPH be the same.

I didn't say it would be exactly the same, but it would be fairly similar. Do a google and see for yourself. It's because of the time it takes to accelerate to a certain speed, it's exponential then tapers off. Obviously by physics and law the trap speed can't be identical but it can be within 1-2mph.

+1, You're killing us mate

Maybe a trip to Sydney and a visit to one of well-known killer (literally) tuners might speed things up.
