well, finally did it, gutted the very restrictive sti mufflers as mentioned on cpitts original thread.....viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4667&start=120

very happy with sound (deep EL rumble at idle and barks when punched) and performance is awesome

fitted Jimmy's old Tein s techs and got rid of the bobblehead pinks...with the 235x40 tyres it now also looks nice and phat and a bit lower.

also got rid of the bonnet bar by fitting Gimmick Motor Sport hood struts for Legacy......fit nice and bonnet operation is swish, no more stick.

looking for a JDM honeycomb grill, if anyone's got one they don't want plse let me know.

In regards to the TMIC.

Is it possible to install anything to prevent stones flicking in and bending the little metal bits on the TMIC?
I can see your stock one has a few of those, as does mine.

i really was going to organise a group buy BUT just got impatient and bought one, sorry guys.

fit is very good i was a bit worried with the lightweight ally bonnet but all is good, the struts sit out the way in the chanell and you wouldn't even know they where there until you open the bonnet.....i still forget sometimes and reach for the bar with the left hand until the struts take over and lift the bonnet up the rest of the way.......very cool

why don't subaru's have them from factory, esp the top of the range Libs at least

Looks awesome Laurie!! Might have to come up the hill and check out the new bonnet struts and headers, as I've been contemplating doing both of those mods!

Still undecided on the TMIC though, but looking at the AVO there, it looks pretty good!?
