Sadly I had it done at MRT. Like most people, I won't be going back there for a re-tune.

As per my other posts I am on the look out for an ECUtek place in Syd that fellow Lib drivers have used.

At this stage I am going to try GFS in Taren Point. They seem to be a straight up mob & that's the sort of thing I'm looking for.

This might be best asked in a new thread... is ecutek the only way to go for a re-tune? Are there any tuners out there who can tune the ecu in its completely stock state without needing ecutek? It would seem that this would be the more 'pure' way to do it in that it is then up to the individual to tune your car vs. loading in an existing ecutek tune.

Depending on your model year, there are a few other options available like an open tune or the HalTech Interceptor (piggyback system that leaves your factory ECU intact).

I have OpenECU, which flashes your stock ECU.

Seems to do the job well, and have heaps of room to move.

OpenECU would be cheaper, too, cos it's not proprietary software.

Beyond that, like mentioned, the software is just the means to an end - the rest is up to the tuner.

Like some of the other guys have said, yes there are other options.

The ECUtek is just a good thing & I've been very happy with it. Can't wait to see what power it'll get me once I do some mods
