go have a look at your car, check out where i circled and compare both sides :)
it seems to be a common problem with pre face liberty's :(

it might not be that, i cant really tell from the pictures but thats the only reason i can think of as to why there might be that gap that everyones pointing out

You can adjust them marginally.

TBH, theyre all a little out.

Id see if the bonnet on the rhs is up a little in comparison to the front quarter panel. 15 seconds to adjust the bonnet a tad lower on that side.

I hate you guys lol, na i appreciate your help,i just went out and had a look, you are right, the drivers side of the bumper is sagging slightly, i have a feeling this was thanks to the RAC man who loaded it onto a tilt tray a few months back when i broke down, the tray was way to steep and he scraped the crap out of my bumper on the ground, must of broke a clip because it now wont go back in where it should :( anyways i adjusted the bonnet slightly to try compensate somewhat, its a liitle better i think ??

The gen IV's do have a front bumper issue, they always grow a fat gap under the headlights. Mine was terrible, the passenger side was about as big as your drivers side. Although I was later to learn that it had about 5 clips holding it on instead of 20 or so.

Bit of an update :)

Postby HoFF » Sun Jul 29, 2012 6:23 pm

I had this problem as well. All I did was get big speed clip and an 8mm bolt to replace the pop clip on the bottom of the front fender. Works a treat

New clips and adjust some of the mounting brackets works. Or what Hoff did.

dont mean to hijack Tom, but Karl, i've seen it on a few 3Rs where the bumper doesnt sit flush with the fenders and obviously the gap under the headlights too, would it be best to replace all the clips that hold the front bar in place?

That's probably the side retaining clips, I have used some tape to help them hold a bit tighter again. New clips will help but also where it holds the bumper wears with the age so clips don't always fix it 100%

ahh okay, i've had a look at where the clip is on the bumper on my car and it does look worn out.

but on the spare bar i have which is getting painted and fitted up this week, it doesnt look worn out which might just work.
thanks Karl :D

Tom, no more thread hijacking from me :)
