The rims came up great. You painted those yourself right?

Love the brakes. :good:

Personally though, not a fan of painting over gutter rash as you can still see it. You should of sanded it out if they werent deep.

Got around to installing my LED's. The only photos i took was of the boot area, as that was the biggest difference.

Does any one have any tips for installing the parkers? On my old wrx sti, i had to remove the headlights. Is it the same with the Lib?

depending on the size of your hand you dont really need to remove your airbox on that side, but you may need to remove the battery, but i cant remember that side, was a while since i did that side.

also, thankyou for home painting/gunmetal inspiration, did mine yesterday in a similar colour, ill put pics up later today if i get a chance, not as nice as your with brembos though

Hey Brad,

I've joined the Liberty club also, so you might remember my username from Rexnet.

Just wondering, what did you use on the brake calipers?
Just caliper paint, or did you apply something else aswell?

Hey Luke,

I sure do remember.

Just caliper paint. I gave them as good of a sand as i possibly could using around a 240grit sandpaper, just to bite into the clearcoat and make sure the paint would stick.
I then sprayed some Brake Cleaners onto a rag and gave them a good wipe down to remove any brake dust, before giving them a final wipe down with some wax and grease remover.

Then it was just 3 light coats of paint. No primers, no clears.

Brad.

No worries, thanks for the info.

I took your advice from Rexnet and picked up the same car as yours - come the first rainy weekend, I'm going to give the Brembo's a new colour.

Where'd you get the caliper paint from? Supercheap?

Cheers!
Luke

I normally get my stuff from Repco as i prefer their service, but they didnt have the Silver colour in stock, and had to order it for $22.
I walked the 20m to the Autobarn next door, who had it in stock for $14.

Should be available at any auto parts store. VHT Caliper paint.

Congrats on the purchase by the way! Be sure to get a build thread going on here!
